Henry Brean on Pat Mulroy, arguably the most significant water manager in the Colorado River Basin:
She got her bachelor’s degree from UNLV, then stayed on to earn her master’s in German literature. Laugh if you will, she said, but “it’s a great study in human nature, and it’s a great study in political theory.”
Your point, John?
Quite often the sharpest person you run into does not have the ‘hard’ degree attached to their name. Look at Steve Jobs as an example.
Pat got to her position in the big picture due to her abilities and drive. Same deal with Steve Jobs.

I’d prefer that she spent less time on theory and more time on learning how to actually manage water.
