I would like to personally thank the taxpayers of Albuquerque for saving my life.

Great article, John. Albuquerque really has a superb bike path network. When I went to college at UNM I rode a bike my last two years, from the NE Heights, and shortly after I started they put in a bike path from about Sandia High School all the way to the university, along the arroyos. It was a wonderful thing.
It’s a great article John. People don’t realize that small risks, integrated over time (lots of trips) or lots of people ultimately result in carnage. That;s why helmets and other safety measures meet resistance, ask anyone on a safety committee.
