I got a sad note today from a friend who recently lost his beloved HP 15C calculator:
It had worked flawlessly for 28 years. One set of batteries lasts 7 years or more. One key was getting a bit worn. Dropped a few times, of course.
A relic of what the U.S. could once do.
condolences from a long-time 32SII user. I’m a sucker for the RPN entry and those clicky keys. I’ve had mine and the batts have a solid 10 years on them so far.
The 11C has served me well. Solid, like the company that made it.

Loved that calculator, but I reckon that there’s a decent replacement on the market — maybe made by the Chinese 🙂
ps/or as an iPhone app (did you know that their calculator goes “scientific” when you turn the phone on its side?)
I couldn’t to the RPN as fast as the other way when I did my math series, so I went with the Casio. My buddies with the HPs always seemed to have better answers…
Best,
