I waws going to ask if you were following/ knowledgeable about the paleontology / plagiarism case, but then I noticed the by-line on one of the ABQJournal articles…

John Fleck did you, by chance, have relatives that were from Huntington, L.I.? I ask because some of my family came from Huntington and they had very dear friends with name of Fleckenstien. In fact Ed Fleckenstien was godfather to my nephew.
Probably no connection but every time I see your picture, I’m struck by the resemblance.
